Community consultations help organizations understand local priorities before and during program implementation. AWEDO uses dialogue and community feedback to identify concerns, opportunities, and practical considerations that can improve program relevance.
Consultations provide an opportunity for women, community representatives, and other stakeholders to share perspectives on education, livelihoods, protection, services, and local development. Listening to these perspectives helps identify needs that may not be visible through desk-based planning alone.
Meaningful consultation requires respectful participation and clear communication about how feedback will be used. It also requires attention to inclusion so that different community perspectives can be considered appropriately.
